Big Sur California Elopement
Frank and Alexis had a beautiful elopement in Big Sur, California. I had previously captured their engagement in San Francisco, so I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding. They got ready at Glen Oaks Big Sur and had a small ceremony under the Redwoods along Highway 1. One of my favorite memories of the day was them starting off their wedding day with coffee and vows being written in the outdoor bath tubs. I thought it was so unique and a fun way to optimize the beautiful property of Glen Oaks. We then headed to the cliffs where the waves of the Pacific Ocean crashed along the coastline. It was a stunning location for their special day, and I was honored to capture their love in such a picturesque setting. Wedding photography in Big Sur, California is truly magical, and I am grateful to have been a part of this couple's unforgettable day.
I’m a Super 8mm lover. There is nothing like those flickering frames and overscan vibes. I own a Braun Nizo that I've used for personal and wedding work. But man, $200 per roll is tough. So to say I've been waiting for something like the Fuji Instax Mini Evo Cinema is an understatement. I’ll be comparing the mini Instax Mimi cinema, the camp snap, and my traditional Braun Nizo. Disclaimer: nothing is beating the original, but we are using it for comparison. I will be updating this blog as I use the camera more, but I wanted to get my initial impressions up and out to you.
