Rebecca and Julia are engaged!!! Rebecca reached out to me a few months before their trip to Big Sur with a plan to surprise the love of her life. I absolutely loved working with Rebecca she was so intentional and decisive in what her vision was. Deetjens was the perfect proposal spot, easy to meet, and plan with a beautiful backdrop. Julia plays the guitar, and I loved that they included that as part of their story. Rebecca proposed right in front of their cabin, the Castro cabin and then we adventured to the mountains and meadow for some couples portraits after. Congratulations you two!!!

I’ve been shooting non stop weddings and elopements lately and even my adventure shoots have been arriving in long dresses which has made it hard to capture movement. I really wanted to have a full session shooting with a slow shutter, ZERO expectations of anything being perfectly in focus. I wanted rolling in the grass, running as fast as you can and gripping each other tightly. I was so excited when this couple responded willing to do it! With a brain that immediately wants to create when inspiration hits, I was so grateful for them coming out to spend the afternoon with me!

Meredith and Knox came to Big Sur for the second time this March, and we had the most amazing session in the rain! Meredith and Knox were married a year ago but didn’t get professional photos of the occasion. Meredith wanted to surprise Knox during their Big Sur trip with photos of their time together with their two adorable puppies. Knox is an accomplished singer/ songwriter and guitar player, and I’m so honored they brought their guitar along to capture that part of their story. The rain really started pouring down while we were on the coast they were such good sports laying in the ice plant among it. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to spend the afternoon with. Thank you both.

Aki & Yeonsoo are from Toyko, they came to Big Sur on vacation and wanted to capture their 10-year wedding anniversary. Aki is an accomplished musician and he and Yeonsoo often perform at their church, so we capture them doing what they love along the coastline of California.

Caylee and Jordon didn't have a photographer at their wedding 10 years ago, so they wanted to celebrate their 10th anniversary with some wedding portraits. we had so much fun adventuring around Big Sur. Happy Anniversary to you both!

Ethan & Sophia visited Big Sur, California to take some time together to relax and explore. They wanted to capture their time on the coast with an adventure session! We adventure all over the Big Sur coast from the forests to the cliffs! We had so much fun!!

Daniela and Blair were engaged in Big Sur today, they are staying at Post Ranch Inn. We started the day at sunrise and tackled some local cliffs and mountains as the fog rolled over the hills!, my favorite for awesome moody lighting. They are not sure yet where they will get married but I bet where ever they decide will be beautiful as they are.

Paula and Phil chose Big Sur for their adventure session along the Big Sur Coast of California to commemorate where Phil proposed. The cliffs of Big Sur were awesome for their session and we got some amazing Cliffside photos and drone shots!

Karen and Patrick had their engagement session in Big Sur this week, they had never explored Big Sur so I loved taking them to a lot of my favorite lesser-known spots it was the perfect day with the sun shining through the redwoods to the fog rolling in over the mountains on the coast it was the perfect day!

Liz and Carlton choose to have a post-wedding day photo adventure session the day after they were married so Liz would not have to worry about getting her dress dirty and they didn’t have to leave their guests for photos. Liz and Carlton were so laid back and easy going which made for an awesome photoshoot.

Amy and Gen are such a caring couple, the way they look at each other and the love you feel when being with them is so heartwarming. They were engaged in Big Sur this week! I was so honored to be a part of their special day!

Jennifer and Aaron were engaged in Big Sur today. They are getting married in Mexico later this year but wanted their engagement photos along the Big Sur Coastline.

Christina and Malcolm were engaged this week in Big Sur, they are getting married later this year in Banff, Canada. Malcolm wanted forest, and Christina wanted cliffs so we did a little of both. Their dog Ollie was with us and he loved both stops and everything in between!
