Some days, the fog rolls in and never quite lifts — and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. For this Garrapata Beach engagement session, we were gifted one of those moody Big Sur afternoons where the sky stays soft and grey, and the ocean feels like it’s whispering secrets. It was quiet, dramatic, and beautifully intimate — the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down and lean in a little closer.

J & J stayed at the beautiful Alila Ventana at Big Sur, California to capture their adventurous engagement session, not being strangers to Big Sur I was super excited to show them some spots they had never seen. Awesome day!

Daniela and Blair were engaged in Big Sur today, they are staying at Post Ranch Inn. We started the day at sunrise and tackled some local cliffs and mountains as the fog rolled over the hills!, my favorite for awesome moody lighting. They are not sure yet where they will get married but I bet where ever they decide will be beautiful as they are.

Christina and Malcolm were engaged this week in Big Sur, they are getting married later this year in Banff, Canada. Malcolm wanted forest, and Christina wanted cliffs so we did a little of both. Their dog Ollie was with us and he loved both stops and everything in between!
