N + K were married two days ago at the Santa Barbara courthouse but always wanted to have photos in Big Sur. I was so honored when N told me she had been following my work since before she was even engaged and knew she wanted me to be her photographer. They scheduled a three-hour elopement to have the best light in the forest and at sunset. A day before their session we saw that heavy rain and winds were in the forecast, so after a bit of rearranging, we were able to move it up by a day and skip all the rain. I actually normally love a misty, low-fog day, but three hours with heavy wind and rain can be difficult, so I was glad to be able to accommodate the move. Feeling so honored to be able to capture a bit of N + K’s love story in Big Sur.

Lucy and Dustin eloped in the beautiful redwood forest in Big Sur, California. They helped each other get ready in the most beautiful light in their room at Post Ranch Inn. We were off to the redwood forest for their ceremony and then adventured along Coast Highway 1 for some awesome photos along the cliffs, the incredibly rough waves were amazing for their elopement day, the weather was perfect!

Aline and Dean eloped this week in Big Sur, California by the tall redwood trees, they exchanged their vows with their toes in the sand and danced at the edge of the cliffs by the Pacific Ocean.

Lindsey and Landon were married at Glen Oaks this week! They had a rainy elopement day but didn’t let that phase them! We ended the day with an amazing sunset! Congratulations!

Adventure Elopement in Big Sur California

California adventure elopement photography with Marlena and Fred, we started our day at La Playa Hotel in Carmel, California and then made our way down the Big Sur coast for an adventurous day along the beautiful cliffs above the Pacific Ocean.

Destiny and Taylor met me at the Big Sur River Inn, they were so ready for their adventurous elopement that Destiny was ready to run into the forest and jump into the ocean! so we headed for the forest first and then the cliffs and beaches along the coast of Big Sur! The day was full of adventure and I was happy to show them some awesome locations. Congrats you two!

It’s always fun to photograph a fellow photographer’s family and watch them as their children grow!! We choose Big Sur which was cold and windy this afternoon but the Redding family made exploring with the three boys look easy!
