Must have accessories for the Fujifilm x100vi
I have had my FUJIFILM x100v for about 4 years, and it’s my favorite camera for personal work. I love its compact design and baked-in recipes, so I don’t have to edit. I usually shoot raw and jpeg, so I have the baked recipes AND the raw if I choose to edit. The camera fits in most small bags I carry, but it is not a true pocket camera. It’s a fixed 23 mm, which I love for street photography or to capture my family in a beautiful landscape. My current favorite film recipes are Reggae Portra and Newspaper by Kevin Mullins. Eternal summer is also so fun during Beach or bright summer, colorful conditions. The main improvement with the x100vi over the x100v, I hear is the image stabilization for video and video quality. My new goal for the year is to mess with video more, so I can report more on that soon.
My main complaint about traveling with the Fuji X100V is the battery life; the number one accessory is buying at least one extra battery like this. I LOVE shooting this camera at night or in low light with a soft mist filter or glimmer glass. The Glimmer glass I use HERE. I recently added the everyday filter pro mist , I don’t have this thumb grip, but I want it. I do wish I had more grip on the camera. I'm also interested in the front grip, but I worry it would make it too bulky. I keep this leather case on my camera to protect it from bumps and dings, PLUS it gives a retro look I love.
I decided to blog about the camera after several friends asked my opinion about it. Please let me know if there is anything I forgot! I don’t go into technical specs as it’s listed everywhere else.
